Taking that first baby step toward my dream

I decided that since my original ficlet, Yuki Onna, is way too short to be submitted to any publisher, traditional or on-line, I would publish it as an e-book on Lulu.com.

Hopefully, I will learn a thing or two about promoting with this endeavor. If I ever want to be a successful writer, this is a lesson I must learn or I'm doomed to failure.

I guess Leon Orcot in not as high up on the food chain as I thought

I found some interesting information on the ranking order at th LAPD.

In one story, a woman called Leon a third rate detective in a derogatory manner, so I'm assuming that he was at the lowest rank - Detective I. That makes sense, though, because he is rather young. He said he was eighteen when his mother died giving birth and now Chris is, what? Seven? Eight? I'm too tired/lazy/pressed for time to look it up. Anyway, that makes him twenty-five, maybe twenty-six depending on how their birthdays fall.

I just want to be accurate...
