One Word - Fade

The book was a favorite of mine, one I hadn't read in many years. Imagine my surprise as I leafed through its pages only to discover a dried and faded rose, the first one I had ever received. Tears pricked my eyes as I breathed in its scent, as faint as my memories of the man I had once loved so long ago.
