Since this story is set in an Alternate Universe, several of the characters in the first few chapters don't really show up in the series at all. Leon's father, for instance, is never mentioned so he's basically an original character and his mother only showed up in a brief flashback. And both Vesca Howell and the adult Chris only appear in volume 10.

You can find PSoH episodes on YouTube, but there are only four and they stick to the weird and macabre while completely skipping any and all humorous interactions between Leon and Count D. And his brother Chris never shows up at all. But it is a great series and they are even starting to release the second Petshop of Horrors series here in America.
