When songs get stuck in your head

Okay, I've had Dan Fogelberg's Same Old Lang Syne in my head for days. I don't know why so I thought I'd give it a listen, because obviously some part of me wanted to hear it again. My mom used to have the cassette tape when I was a kid and she listened to it all the time - along with Barbara Streisand, Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers, Jim Croce and Barry Mannilow(sp?).

I actually liked that tape... maybe I'll have to hunt down the CD one of these days when I have some money. *^-^* That and Barbara Streisand's Song Bird.

Funnily enough, that's one of my (11-yr-old) daughter's favorite songs, especially around Christmastime. She describes it as "the Christmas song that really isn't a Christmas song but kind of is."
