One Word - Vein

There were a lot of posts today concerning suicide and getting high. I'm glad I didn't go that route. I'd like to think I'm that morbid...yet.

He threw the pick ax aside and feel to his knees, his hands frantically digging through the fallen earth, searching for a sign that all was no in vain. But there was nothing. No gold. Only earthworms. The mine's vein had finally played out.
