I just found out today that there was an internet only release of Josh Groban's Closer CD (2004) and it contained a song I never knew existed until just a few minutes ago. I wouldn't have known about it at all if they hadn't been having a 'what's your least favorite song' thing over at [livejournal.com profile] __grobanites They paired up various songs from Closer and asked members to vote which was their favorite song out of each group. Pair #8 pitted She's Out of My Life against You're the Only Place, which is the song I had never even HEARD of.

I wish artists wouldn't DO shit like that. Why can't they release one CD with all of the songs? Why does there have to be a regular release, an internet version with that has all of the songs, AND a 'special edition' that has one or two 'bonus' songs, but is missing some others? Do you think we are made of money? Because God knows I'm not. I adore Josh Groban's voice and I am eagerly pinching my pennies to make sure I'll have enough for both yaoi.con and his concert in August, but I HATE the way his CDs are released. HATE it.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to get my hands on this song (unless someone happens to have a copy of it they'd be willing to share?) so I'll just have to make do with this clip I found on YouTube.
