Perfection
Day 25
Word Count: 142
"Why do we always have to eat at these family gatherings?" Lisa whined to her reflection. "What ever happened to just getting presents and talking?"
She glared angrily into the mirror, hating her stomach, her thighs, her everything. Desperately she sucked in her breath until her ribcage stood out prominently against pale skin. Hip bones protruded sharply but not sharp enough.
"I'm never going to be thin if they keep forcing me to eat." She muttered, blinking back tears of frustration.
A wave of dizziness washed over her and she sagged back against her bed until it passed. Dizzy spells and hunger pains didn't bother her any more. They were proof that she was on the right track, that she was finally winning.
"I'll show them," she whispered to the ceiling, "I'll be perfect if it kills me."
