psohdrabble. Challenge #92 – ‘Terminal’
I will not be submitting this to the community because, IMHO, it isn't good enough.

Roaring flames, sirens, and the screams of those who had witnessed the terrible crash of Flight 425 filled the night. Yet in the midst of chaos around him, D remained silent, head bowed, hands gripping the railing.

“Hey… Are you alright?” Leon’s hand reached out, hesitated. “D?”

“I’m all right.” D’s voice, clearly audible over the pandemonium, was soft and distant.

Leon tried to speak but the words froze in his throat. He had expected to see tears, hell, he felt like crying himself, but D, calm and unruffled as ever, turned to him, eyes dry and actually … smiled.

I just noticed that in Volume 9 Dynasty Monica was on Flight 425, but Volume 10’s Departure, stated that she had been on Flight 107. Odd.
