A decision of sorts

I'm going to start weaning myself off of writing fanfiction. I would rather focus on original, and therefore publishable, works. I'm not saying I won't still do drabbles, or that I'll never write a fanfic again, but I think it's time I moved to the next step.

I still have every intention of finishing The Hunted. I may even someday finish Man-Eater, but all other fanfiction WIPs are dead and will remain so.

Thanks, I think I'm going to need some luck. Original work is so different than fanfiction, it's like writing without a net, you know?

Good luck. I "quit" fanfiction, and suddenly found myself not writing at all -- bad move on my part. Weaning sounds like a good plan, though. Give it a try!

I'll be sad to see you not writing fic - you're one of the few PSoH writers I still read regularly and I'm sorry I haven't commented on your stuff! - but I really really wish you luck with the original fic! *cheers*
